Dr. Anger and her nurses have been really wonderful.

I've been coming here for a few years now, previously for the gynecology side and more recently for ob appointments. Unfortunately my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage which has been extremely painful but through out the entire process Dr. Anger and her nurses have been really wonderful. She's always extremely patient and thorough, she takes the time to make sure all my questions have been answered. When delivering the bad news she was nothing short of kind and compassionate. In between my first and second appointments we were kind of in an area of unknown (because as some people fail to understand sometimes all the answers just aren't always immediately available and you just have to wait things out) she never indicated that there was any cause for alarm, just calmly stated the facts and what was to come next which to me seems like the most effective method of delivering bad news. When I went in for lab draws her nurses just kind of let me sob it out, offering comforting words and empathy. They never responded awkwardly and never rushed me out. They returned all my calls promptly and according to their policy which is stated on their recording when leaving a voice mail. Initially I can see how some other reviewers thought the ultrasound tech was maybe short, which might have come off as rude but in reality she's only allowed to say so much. She probably wouldn't do well to say absolutely nothing, but beyond "I'm sorry, this is what i see" it's not her fault she really cant disclose much else. As far as the front office staff goes, I've had mostly good experiences and only a few bad. A couple of the receptionists whom i didn't even see there most recently have been a little rude but most of the time they're great too. It's also worth noting I've never had to wait long and their facility is always clean and kept.

My four stars are only because it's my first visit and I never give five stars on the first time. If all my visits are like this one, she'll definitely be a five star or more. I love Dr. Irvin and Cornerstone OBGYN! I have seen Dr. Irvin for over 5 years and she delivered both of my children. She is truly an amazing physician. She is punctual and professional, but also very warm and down to earth. I've never felt rushed in her office, or felt stupid for asking her all the questions you ask when you're a neurotic first-time mom. She has always been very patient and thorough during my appointments, answering every question I had. I ended up having a c-section with my first pregnancy, and I was terrified because I had really wanted to deliver naturally and it just wasn't happening. Dr. Irvin made me feel completely at ease when it came time to make that decision, and I felt totally safe in her capable hands. My c-section went incredibly smoothly and I healed much more quickly than I thought I would. During my second pregnancy I started retaining extra amniotic fluid during the last 6 weeks, and we needed to take extra care monitoring the baby to make sure everything was going OK. Dr. Irvin's office made sure I could get an appointment any time I needed it, even on short notice, and her nurses were super accommodating as well when there were a few times I had to stay longer for extra monitoring. Also, I should mention that I am TERRIFIED of needles, and Dr. Irvin's nurses were amazing with taking care of me when I had to get my blood drawn during the pregnancies. I have many friends and acquaintances that go to Dr. Irvin as well and absolutely love her. In fact, one of my friends transferred to Dr. Irvin when she was pregnant with her second child because she was having a really bad experience with her previous physician. My friend has really complicated pregnancies, and she absolutely loved Dr. Irvin, who ended up delivering both her second and third babies. She told me she would love to have a fourth baby just to go back to see Dr. Irvin! Trusting your body and your child to a doctor is a big deal, and you really can't make a better decision than Dr. Irvin. I have seen the other doctors in her office occasionally, and they are all fantastic as well.

Cornerstone is definitely a place to consider!!

I switched doctor's during my first pregnancy. After getting sick and running a high fever for days, my doctor's office didn't allow me to come in for an appointment. A friend always spoke so highly of Dr. Irvin so I called and they got me set up as a new patient and in to see Dr. Irvin quickly. I am so glad I made that change! Dr. Irvin is knowledgeable, approachable and always answers my questions. We found that our baby was breech and Dr. Irvin gave us 2 options. She could attempt to physically turn the baby or we could schedule a c-section (with the hopes that the baby would still turn). She went through both options thoroughly and answered every questions we had. We opted to schedule the c-section and Dr. Irvin reviewed the process with us during our follow up sessions. She actually reviewed it many times with me because I was so nervous! Unfortunately, the baby remained breech. On the day of my c-section, Dr. Irvin was encouraging, supportive and calming. The procedure ran smoothly and my recovery was easier than I thought it would be. I could not be happier with the care Dr. Irvin provided during my pregnancy and in my general gynecological appointments since my delivery. A first time mom has a TON of questions and concerns and Dr. Irvin is patient and thorough. I'm so thankful to have a doctor that truly cares about her patients as Dr. Irvin does! The staff at Cornerstone are so friendly and accommodating! I had very limited hours that I could come in for appointments and they always worked with my schedule. Every person I interacted with was warm and caring. If you're looking for an OBGYN, Cornerstone is definitely a place to consider!!

I've been through more than a few doctors who didn't listen to me, and received more than one misdiagnosis as a result. So when I got pregnant, I was nervous about finding a good doctor. I visited Cornerstone on a recommendation, and have not once regretted it. From the moment you walk in, the place feels comforting and kind. The receptionists are friendly, and they remembered me each time I went in. The ultrasound tech was clearly fantastic at her job, and walked me through everything she was doing. Dr. Irvin was thorough, professional, and caring, making sure I knew what to expect from each visit. However, I suppose a true test of the quality of a doctor & staff is when things take a turn for the worse. I suffered a miscarriage early in my pregnancy. That day, everyone I interacted with at Cornerstone was unfailing in their kindness and compassion. Dr. Irvin must deal with this particular flavor of heartbreak fairly often, but she still got a little teary when explaining the situation to me. She offered me tissues and empathy, and she remained professional and strong despite clearly being sad for me. To whomever mentioned that Dr. Irvin seemed cold to her in an earlier review: I think that it is easy to see coldness or detachment where there is actually professionalism and . While it meant the world to me to see that Dr. Irvin was sad *with* me instead of just sad *for* me, I think if she had been any less professional I would not have trusted her to care for me. She made time to answer all of my questions and explain all of the details to me. I have visited Cornerstone many times since then, and each time everyone remembers me by name. My lab appointments are always quick and punctual. One time I had to call them because I didn't receive a call with my blood work results, but frankly, I chalk that up to the occasional human error. The nurse was very friendly and apologetic when I called, and nothing like that has happened since. Overall: I highly recommend Cornerstone OBGyn, and Dr. Irvin in particular. I will continue there if/when I get pregnant again for sure.

I will be forever grateful

I have been a patient of Dr. Irvins for 12 years. I first started seeing her for Gynelogical exams only and when I discussed the problems my husband and I were having trying to concieve she discussed different fertility methods that I could try under her care. Luckily I got pregnant with my first child after only one month of clomid. She had me come right in a do labs to check HCG and progesterone. When she found out the progesterone levels was lower than what is considered viable she supplemented me anyways and had me come in a week later for an ultra sound. She told me before the ultra sound that it may not be viable just to pre-warn me, but the ultra sound turned out great and we were both so happy. When I developed gestational diabetes she took great care with helping me change my diet, showed me how to do blood sticks and monitor all that. She watched everything. She delivered me two weeks early via induction that was spot on with no complications. We started trying again a year after my son was born, again fertility issues. We tried clomid, but it didn't work so she referred me to the Texas Fertility Center. When I did become pregnant again she monitored me closely due to having gestational diabetes previously. When I went to be induced she had to put off a C-section to deliver me because my boy was coming faster than they realized. She was in a great mood, not rushed at all, caught my second son, told me she could deliver babies like that all day long, hugged me and my husband and went off to do the C-section. My third child was a surprise and again I had gestational diabetes. She referred me to a high risk perinatal doctor and I saw them both every week. When there was a mix up at the hospital with scheduling my induction she made sure that it got straightened out. She called in a special favor with her favorite labor nurse just to induce me. Of course I go pretty fast so she wasn't there long. Again Dr. Irvin was just wonderful. With each delivery she came in the next day to sit with me and talk to me, hold my new baby, take pictures and congratulate me. So, she's delivered three children, been with me through one miscarriage, performed a colposcopy for pre-cancer cells on my cervix and never once has she acted as if I was bothering her or that she didn't have time for me or my problems. I will be forever grateful to her for bring my children safely into the world and taking the best care of me.

Clearly Cornerstone cares about their clients

I have been going here for a few years! The office is always clean and looks very kept and neat. The staff has always been very sweet and understanding and they know who I am when I walk in. I recommend them to anyone that is looking for a new OB office. I have never had to wait very long and I am usually in within 5-10 minutes of my appointment time, and sometimes I have gone in early if everyone is ready! Dr. Choudhry is my doctor and I absolutely love her!! I have always felt like she cared about me, rather than just being her next appointment. When I found out I was pregnant with twins I was so happy I already had an OB that I trusted. She explained everything perfectly and again, was so patient with my extra questions and concerns (and trust me, i had a lot). I had tests done and she called me, personally, to ask how I was doing and to make sure I was feeling okay. I was overwhelmed, I really couldn't believe I got an actual call from her. The next day, on a Saturday, she called me again to give me the results of the tests. I always felt that she genuinely cared about me and the babies! Dr. C's nurse and tech, Amanda and Angelique, were always so sweet! I really enjoyed talking to them and they also answered all of my questions They always seemed like they enjoyed their jobs and were easy to talk to! I have been to many doctors that didn't seem to care, gave me text book answers, and were not all that personable - not here - and that's comforting to know you can talk to them and trust them. Both ultra sound techs, Melanie and Gretchen, were awesome! They were so kind and knowledgeable; they always had stories to tell us and made each appointment so much fun, on top of getting to see our babies! Gretchen actually helped us with our gender reveal surprise! I needed to make a last minute appointment and I saw Dr. Anger, she was very kind also. I would be confident to see any doctor at this practice based on the two I have seen! Clearly Cornerstone cares about their clients and who they hire! =D

As someone new to the Austin area, I didn't know how to find someone I'd be comfortable with for my yearly exams, and some other sensitive medical issues. I got a recommendation from someone at my church to try this office What an incredible experience! My doctor was extremely sensitive to my particular challenges and worked with me step by step to find a solution, beginning with the least invasive and sticking with me the entire time! I also went on to deliver two healthy beautiful babies with Dr. Irvin as my obstetrician. I have had nothing but a phenomenal experience at Cornerstone.

I see Dr. Choudhry at Cornerstone, and I love her! She delivered our first child, and it was a wonderful experience. The office staff and physicians are all friendly, competent, and accommodating. I never felt rushed or like I was inconveniencing anyone when I asked a lot of questions at my visits and over the phone, and the answers I got were very informative. I had a long, stressful labor, but I knew that I was in good hands, and that Dr. Choudhry was keeping a close and careful eye on my progress during labor. She checked on me frequently and explained what was happening every step of the way, and we were involved in the decision making the whole time. I would completely trust any of the physicians here with my body and my pregnancies! As far as previous comments about billing, waiting, and the laboratory needle-sticks. You will encounter something that isn't perfect anywhere you go in healthcare. Insurance billing is crazy, and as a member of the healthcare profession, I know that a lot of times it is not the doctor's office messing up, it is your insurance. So, before you point fingers, maybe call your insurance company first. It is also not the office's fault if an outside laboratory does not draw labs properly. Take that up with the phlebotomist that drew your labs! Lastly, I never really have a wait when I go to Cornerstone, but they do tell you up front that sometimes you may wait. If one of their patients is delivering, that takes priority, and they may have to run out of the office. That is standard across the board for OB-GYN offices. If you are looking for an OB-GYN, I would highly recommend this office and any of the physicians in it!

I have been going to Cornerstone since Aug 2009. I am very happy with Dr Choudhry, Amanda, Gretchen, and entire staff. They have been so supportive and helpful on both OB and GYN side. They supported me through my first pregnancy and now my second one as a high risk patient due to my age. I have had some other issues in between and so in those regards they have definitely been a blessing as well. I feel very comfortable discussing any concern I have with anyone in the office whether health related or otherwise (insurance, billing, appointments). I have never been rushed through an appointment, sonogram, or treatment. Wait times are short, unless Dr Choudhry is delivering a baby and / or at the hospital, which is conveniently right across the street. Usually then they offer to re-schedule, for me to wait, or see another Dr. I have had a chance to see Dr Anger and Dr Duncan as well when Dr Choudhry was unavailable. Both were amazing to take over when Dr Choudhry was unable to. In fact, Dr Anger delivered my first child because Dr Choudhry happened to be out of town when I went into labor. I have had nothing but excellent treatment and care from everyone. I definitely recommend this practice. They have been absolutely awesome.

She is wonderful

I am been going to Cornerstone OBGyn since 2009. I see Dr. Choudhry. She is wonderful, but I have to say that the other staff I have come in contact with have also been amazing. Everyone is always friendly. The longest wait time I have had was 20 minutes because Dr. Choudhry was dealing with an emergency at the hospital. Normally I am able to attend my appointment and not take any longer than my 1 hour lunch. I love that I can schedule my appointment and fill out all of my paperwork online. I have recommended Cornerstone OBGyn to several of my friends, and they all seem very happy with the service they have experienced also.

I have had a good experience at Cornerstone OBGyn so far. I can mainly speak to the GYN part and not really the OB yet, but hopefully in the near future. I'm surprised of the negative reviews. I have found the staff to be pleasant and courteous. They have made efforts to save me money by making sure I didn't schedule my annual too soon to make sure insurance would cover it. The initial appointment took a while to get in, but after that, I have been able to get same-day appointments. I see Dr. Anger and she is efficient and friendly. She answers all my questions, and I appreciate how accessible her nursing assistants are. Dr. Anger had the insight to do a rare test that helped to identity a part of the chronic issues that I have, and now they are under control. The staff has had some trouble drawing my blood, but I've always been a hard stick. They also have a blood draw service located down the street from them, so it's not too much of an issue.

I just moved to the area and actually found this office through Yelp. You fill out all of your new patient forms online through their website, which is so convenient. You can even update this information through your profile so that everything is up to date on your next visit. The office decor is ""rustic Texas chic."" Wooden and purple velvet chairs. The waiting room is nice with a lot of seating and windows. They were playing country music which is not my favorite, but it is Texas... I saw Dr. Anger for my yearly and was in and out of the office in about half an hour. She was very friendly and happily answered all of my questions. Lastly, do take the time to read the filtered reviews. Some of the reviews on the main page are rather harsh. An OBGyn's office can be an emotional place and it can be easy to get frustrated with the doctors or staff. However, my experience was great and I plan to go back again for my next yearly.

I am a gynecology patient of Cornerstone, so I cannot attest to the OB side of things. That being said, Dr. Anger is awesome. She makes you feel comfortable, answers all your questions thoroughly, and really is just down to earth. I've never waited too long either. The office is very accommodating - I called today with a question about my birth control and Dr. Anger was not in. They offered her nurse, and she called me back within a couple hours with an informed answer, but wanted to set an appt for Monday with Dr. Anger. I could not have been more pleased! Dr. Irvin has been my doctor for many years. She is very intelligent and highly experienced in obstetrics and gynecology. She has delivered many of my friends children and grandchildren and also has had to deliver devastating news of life threatening illnesses. She is professional with compassion which I believe to be the perfect combination for any doctor. Her staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I work in a doctor's office and there is always going to be unforeseen circumstances that arise whether it be a mistake in an appointment or the doctor have to run to the hospital for an emergency delivery or surgery. Dr. Irvin and her staff are committed to their patients and I have never experienced anything otherwise. I highly recommend Dr. Irvin and her team.

It was the best experience

Recently I had a davinci hysterectomy procedure done by Dr. Michelle Irvin. It was the best experience. The recovery was extremely easy and the care and information I was given by the Cornerstone practice was amazing.

She's funny and she very information qualified when you have questions about anything. I'm very glad I switched doctors. I hate doctors because most of them don't take the time to listen or even get to learn the patient. She's ammmmazing!!!

I have received the BEST quality care

Since 2005, I have been a patient of Dr. Irvin's. Throughout the years, I have received the BEST quality care. My experiences have been only positive! In 2006, she delivered my multiples and literally saved my life after delivery! There was no anticipation there would be complications after my delivery, but there was. She was even amazing through that experience too. She made herself available anytime I needed her and communicated thoroughly with care. I trust her with my life and am only here because of her. There is no question about it, you are in extremely good hands in her care. Her patient's care is her first priority and definitely has my complete trust.

Amazing Doctor's and staff at Cornerstone!

Love this place. Staff was so friendly and made being pregnant such an amazing experience. We had a lot of sonograms since there were complications with my daughter and loved the sonographer. Very warm and caring. Nurses were awesome and fun but very professional and caring. Highly recommend!! Loved Dr. Irvin. She was extremely professional and gently during invasive procedures. She was so gently and informative during labor. Amazing Doctor's and staff at Cornerstone!
